VariLogiX Releases FraudCall Version 3.5, Integrates AFIS Service

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. (2/5/07) - VariLogiX (http://www.varilogix.com), a leading provider of point-of-sale e-commerce telephony fraud prevention services, announced today it has released version 3.5 of its flagship FraudCall product, which allows online merchants to verify incoming orders by placing an automated outbound telephone call.

FraudCall version 3.5 introduces several new tools allowing users to more closely detect sources of fraudulent activity. Users can now utilize Line Type Detection, enabling them to differentiate phone numbers between land lines, cellular lines, voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) lines, and international lines. More robust call statistics are also available, as well as an improved online user interface.

“Empowering our users with more detailed and segmented information on incoming orders is a top priority,” said VariLogiX President James Ryan. “With this new release, our system now has an increased ability to detect and report key indicators of fraudulent activity. We have also improved the way our users interact with FraudCall.”

In addition to improving the core features of FraudCall, VariLogiX integrated its innovative Anti Fraud Information Service (AFIS) technology into the software. AFIS offers online merchants an analysis of every incoming order, based upon a user-configurable Tuner with over 26 independent settings. Once an incoming order is analyzed, it is assigned a fraud score, and merchants can then choose to automatically accept, decline, or further investigate the order based upon this score.

“We occasionally speak with companies that indicate fraudulent orders have not presented a problem for their operations in the past,” said Ryan. “However, this type of thinking tends to leave companies with surprise chargeback fees after a few fraudulent orders slip through. We have designed FraudCall to be instantly and seamlessly integrated with a variety of order processing applications.”

The company also added several new key partnerships with industry software vendors. Its partners now include the makers of the Advanced Web Hosting Billing System (AWBS), Web Host Manager Complete Solution (WHMCS), WHM Auto Pilot (WHM AP), ModernBill, and HSPComplete. FraudCall is available as an integrated module in the various Web host billing applications developed by its partners.

VariLogiX will begin accepting new clients with the release of FraudCall 3.5, after it had suspended growth for several months while it expanded system capacity and features.
