Yesterday Andrew Te from PowWeb announced the company has been aquired by a new management team.

"This May, we will begin the process of migrating customer Web sites and e-mail to a new hosting platform, taking our load-balanced hosting technology to the next level. The new platform will continue to distribute the load of each Web site across multiple physical servers, but all sites will be supported by a single massively-shared hosting pool, resulting in greater redundancy and eliminating cluster-related issues. What's more, the new platform will extend our load-balanced technology to additional services, including your e-mail and log files. "

PowWeb claims to offer their clients a larger tech support team, new billing system and possibly different OS than the currrent FreeBSD systems they use. It's unclear whether support will be in-house or outsourced to a call center.
