TemplateMonster Banned by Google

April 1, 2005 - (WEB HOST GEAR) - TemplateMonster.com, (www.templatemonster.com) the very popular website template and affiliate template business, has recently been banned by Google search engine.

TemplateMonster's affiliate program, MyTemplateStorage, sent out an annoucement to all their affiliates requesting immediate action to help them get listed with Google's search engine.

"We have no idea how this could happen, but one of the reasons could be so-called "duplicate content penalty" caused by our ready-made affiliate shops."

TemplateMonster is trying to work with Google to get listed back in the search engine. Google is the world's largest search engine and through its partnerships with America Online, Netscape and others , answers more questions than any other service online and is one of the 5 most popular sites on the Internet and is used around the world by millions of people.

"The point is that there are thousands of our affiliate shops in the Internet, and 90% of them have the same content and the same direct link to the Template Monster website. So Google could consider that we create numerous sites in order to increase our link popularity and pagerank.

We're trying to restore our existence in Google, and one of the steps we are taking is to get rid of the unnatural links (including links from affiliate shops). "
